Professional Experience

– Deputy Minister for Environment, Nature and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia since June 30, 2022.

– Head of Division VIII, ‘Sustainable development, climate change, environment industry’ from November 2014 until June 30, 2022. Since 2017, the division has been referred to as ‘Environmental matters across disciplines – Sustainable Development’.

– Head of the Minister’s office at the Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia from July 2010 to November 2014.

– Assistant Director at the NRW Ministry of the Environment, Nature, Agriculture and Consumer Affairs between 2004 and 2007.

– Ecology research assistant for the Bündnis 90/ DIE GRÜNEN parliamentary party in the NRW Landtag from 1997 to 2004 and 2007 to 2010.

– Biology studies at the University of Cologne from 1990 to 1997, graduated as Diplom-Biologe.
